Goodbye to My Brother

We had my brother's memorial service last weekend. It was bittersweet for me as there is so much that was left unsaid between us.

What I do know is that I always loved him and he was a good person. I do miss him and I know that he has found the peace that he was looking for in life and that no one is sitting in front of him and he has the best seats at the ball park.

The memorial service was something that was special and was so him. It was held in a beautiful outdoor setting which he would have loved and a lot of his friends and family were there sharing memories and telling stories about his life

One thing about him, he was a very generous person. He also was a huge baseball fan and loved the outdoors-hiking, fly fishing and just generally being with nature:

And he was a huge San Francisco Giants fan:

This was something he wrote right before he died and shows the depth of who he was:

Just want to say that Dave I love you and I miss you.

  9. Beautiful tribute to your brother, my friend. I know that you had a complicated relationship but we can still make amends within ourselves even after a person leaves this world. I love how you are doing that and keeping his memory alive.
