I was over at Fort Mason in San Francisco and they had this thing called Skate on Art. They had a small roller skate rink up outside and you were allowed to skate on the art. Interesting idea (and no I did not skate-just took pics):
A pretty interesting experience. With my vertigo, there would be no way I could skate but it was nice to look at and it was groovy.
Amazing art works. Great captured.
ReplyDeleteThat's so cool.
ReplyDeletevery cool. You should post it over at Sami's Monday Mural.
ReplyDelete...what a color explosion! I'd love to see this one in person.

It looks like it's a in a similar style to Yellow Submarine or Milton Glaser's old illustrations. Fun concept and style!
ReplyDeleteThat's some bright, inviting artwork and I'm sure it took a while to do. Love all your photos!
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see you joining us on 'My Corner of the World' this week!

Skating was always so fun and this is a great concept for even more fun...art viewing/skating. :)
ReplyDeleteAll skate parks should have this - so much better than scruffy concrete and graffiti that you usually see. The colours are so lovely and vibrant - it made me want to have a skate!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up with us at MLSTL and I've shared on my SM :)
Wow, it kinda reminds me of a coloring book I have. That rink is beautiful. Thanks for sharing your beautiful pics my friend. Have a great day!

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday, Patrick. 😎
I'm in favor of introducing art to any setting. This method exposes lots of people who ordinarily wouldn't even notice artork.
ReplyDeleteThe art is amazing, loving the vibrant colours #alittlebitofeverythung@_karendennis

ReplyDeleteInteresting idea and amazing art.
ReplyDeleteFascinating!
ReplyDeletePatrick,
ReplyDeleteWOW, this had to be amazing to see with your own eyes - so many beautiful colors splashed and an incredible maze of designs to enlighten the mind. I'm awed by an artist's ability to do pieces like this on such a grand scale. Thanks for sharing and linking up, my friend!
It would be a shame to skate on such a lovely surface - I'd be afraid of scuffing or dinging it somehow!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing at https://seekingserenityandharmony.com/2019/10/02/wordless-wednesday-1-oct-2019/
So colourful, they must have used some special paint to retain the colors.
ReplyDeleteThis might be the coolest thing ever! The art is gorgeous and while it seems a shame to skate on it and scuff it, I think that was the artists’ point, no? Making it the coolest idea ever! Thanks for sharing and linking up!
