Oh No, It Has Been A Year

Oh No, it's Mr Bill

Wow, I was looking back and saw that today March 6th, 2012 was the day I started to really write this blog. Sitting here, looking back I can't believe that I have been doing this for year. To me it doesn't seem like it, but to some that read it might seem that one year is way too long.

It is interesting, I started this exercise to relieve some stress in my life (OK, OK-to keep me from literally killing some of my co-workers) and it has evolved into something that I enjoy doing, I have enjoyed looking at things from a new prespective and going to different places.

Another thing is that I never figured that anybody would read or look at anything I posted. Even though I have a Mass Comm degree and was the Sports, City, Op-ed and Editor-in-Chief of my college newspaper at various times I never felt that I would write anything other than reports on my students.

I know that some who stumble across this blog wonder What the Hell is he on when he writes this stuff-nothing- I am that goofy.

Anyway two of my heroes want to say "Thank You" for reading this:

Gumby and Pokey say thanks

I never thought I would have 11 subscribers to this humble thing. Thank each of you for being one. It really warms my heart to know that people want to read my crap. Thanks very much.

In the coming year is that I hope to have better pictures as my little Olympus died on me over the weekend. The shutter will not open. It served me well and has gone to its reward.  But I went out to Fry's Electronics and got a better one that has better pixels, better zoom and bells and whistles. Hopefully, I will learn to use it soon:

Hopefully this blog continues for a long time as long as my wise friend has and look as good as him:

"May the Force Be With You"
Again thanks for a great first year and thanks for reading this.
